10,000 Comments: Thanks!

By Centinel | April 17, 2008

CONTEST IS CLOSED.

The FC Blog has been in existence for just under a year (well, at this domain, anyway) and in that time, we’ve written 1,615 posts, which seems like a lot. But it pales in comparison to the number of comments that have followed those posts: almost 10,000. In the very near future, we’ll hit that astounding number and I’d like to do something to celebrate. To honor the myriad comments and express my thanks for the incredible contributions everyone has made to this blog, I’d like to announce a giveaway: one lucky reader will win a $100 iTunes Gift Card. That’s a song for every hundred comments and about as far as I can go without breaking the blog bank. And here’s the best part: entering is as simple as leaving a comment.

[Entry rules after the jump]

The giveaway rules are as follows:

One winner will be randomly selected after the contest has closed and the winner announced on Monday, April 28. Remember to leave a valid email address, because otherwise we won’t be able to email you to let you know you’re a winner.

That’s all. Leave a comment and good luck!

Update: As some readers have already figured out, you only need to leave a valid email address. You can still leave a pseudonym. Just so you know. Also, please let as many friends who may be interested in ye old FC Blog know about this contest. Thanks.

Update: The winner of the contest will be selected randomly from all the comments below. I’ll also announce the 10,000th comment tomorrow, but everyone has an equal shot so long as they leave a comment.

Four homes will be built on Sherman Avenue which will provide affordable housing to families that wouldn’t normally have the opportunity to be homeowners. I’m proud to head up the Women’s Build Team. For more information please visit our website at www.monroviawomensbuild.org.
